Relics of Nature was represented in this year’s Munro lecture at the University of Edinburgh on the 21st of November. Here, in the School of History, Classics and Archaeology Professor Þóra Pétursdóttir gave a lecture titled ‘Natural Heritage at Risk: Memory and Mourning in the Anthropocene’.

The lecture reflected on some results from the Relics of Nature project, and asked questions such as “What is natural heritage in the Anthropocene? How are natural processes of change and uncertainty affected by a growing fear for loss? And how is this reflected in processes of memory and mourning?”.
We would like to thank everyone who listened in and engaged in the ensuing discussions!
