Þorgerður Ólafsdóttir and her team is busy these days with the final touch of the exhibition “Future Fragments” (Icelandic: “Brot úr Framtíð”), which will open in the National Museum of Iceland on June 8. The exhibition is composed in collaboration with Þóra Pétursdóttir and Relics of Nature and represents elements from both Þorgerður’s and Þóra’s research, as well as objects from the Museum’s collection.
The exhibition is part of Reykjavik Arts Festival 2024. It will be open until November 2024 and will be finalised with a symposium at the National Museum of Iceland under the title “Languages of Climate Crisis”.
Welcome to the formal opening in the National Museum’s “Bogasalur” on June 8 at 2pm.
